Pemetrexed Disodium is used in the treatment for cancer, it is used to treat non-small cell lung cancer in the case of other cancer medications have been tried without any successful treatment. Pemetrexed Disodium is mainly used in the treatment different types of cancer such as, ovarian cancer, head and neck cancer, breast cancer, non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL), cervical cancer, Testicular cancer, blood cancer, lung cancer, bone cancer and urinary bladder cancer.
How it Works
Pemetrexed Disodium is basically a cancer medication that interferes with the growth and spread of cancer cells in the body. Pemetrexed Disodium works by interfering with the growth of DNA and RNA of the cancer cells. It does this by substituting their building blocks. Thus it prevents the cancer cells from growing and multiplying. Disrupting the cancer cell multiplication. and stopping the spread of the cancer.
