Norditropin has been manufactured by Novo Nordisk since 1995. It is approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to treat adults with growth hormone deficiency.
Norditropin FlexPro pens and NovoFine needles are the two delivery systems. The FlexPro pen is preloaded by the manufacturer with simple instructions for injection. NovoFine needles are ultra-thin needles for minimal discomfort during therapy.
The initial dosage of Norditropin is between 0.15 – 0.3 milligrams each day, adding .1 mg to the daily regimen each month as therapy progresses.
